Would you like to go into the Missions field?
Most of us can’t because of family responsibilities, job commitments or many other reasons. But all of us can offer prayer support and most of us can offer our financial support.
Our church supports 8 different missionaries. Every 3-months, checks go out totaling $3,300. This is not a budget item, but comes entirely from church members who want to make a “faith promise” commitment. A faith promise is an amount of resources that God will give you, above your church giving, to help support our missionaries.
Who are our missionaries?
Services, you will help a young woman in an unplanned pregnancy to get counseling as she makes a plan for her baby-to-be. In many cases, this is her support so she won’t face an abortion, but choose to parent or entrust her baby to a couple just waiting to be blessed with a child. You are a big part of the ministry at The Fold in Vermont, helping a teen change from a crisis situation at home to a successful faith-filled experience and be able to reconcile with family at home as they all grow and learn to lean on Him. You go into Haiti and are part of Coastal Haiti Missions under the direction of Connie Goddard as she ministers to the needs of very needy children. Deb & Rick Hutchinson with New Life Ministry are also in Haiti training Haitians to be pastors and teachers of God’s Word to their own people. You can go onto one of several college campuses with Joe Shea who works with Campus Ambassadors Missions Door giving students an ongoing awareness of God an His plan for them. For some it is the first time hearing the Good News and for others leaving home for college experiences, he provides a safe opportunity for solid Christian growth.
You can travel to Armenia to be a help to Dr. Kaarina Ham. Kaarina spent several years in Russia after finishing seminary and has been with
HOPE Armenia Ministries ever since. She and her team bring the Good News to students and adults through school programs. Kevin & Lynette VanWagner have served with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Indonesia while raising their three children. The children were educated in Missions schools and later through the internet. At this time, Kevin & Lynette are in Texas helping prepare missionaries to go into the field as translators. They also help those returning from the field to find a new area of serving.
Three of our older missions outreaches are kept in prayer only.
They are Phineas Dube in Africa, North Haiti Missions under Pastor Verdieu Laroche, and Joe & Eartha Harris in Maryland with
